Lincoln Corsair: unveiled at the 2019 New York Motor Show
At the 2019 New York Motor Show Lincoln officially unveiled the new Corsair, an unpublished crossover that will represent the heir of the Lincoln MKC on the market.
After the previews of last month, the Lincoln Corsair presents itself to the public offering a typically American car body in some details, but on the whole very pleasant and not at all weighted despite the massive volumes.
The passenger compartment welcomes passengers in a modern and well-designed environment, with the additional possibility of reclining the second row of seats to give more space to the load capacity. Among the on-board technologies that improve travel comfort, there is the active noise reduction system designed to cancel audio frequencies capable of filtering inside the car and annoying the occupants.
The infotainment system of the Lincoln Corsair is manageable from an 8-inch touchscreen and joins solutions such as the Head-up Display, the electrically adjustable seats with massage function, the Revel audio system, the driving assistant 360 degrees, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, obstacle detection in blind spots, automatic driving high beam and parking assistant. Finally, there are also USB Type A and Type C ports and the WiFi hotspot function that allows you to share the connection with the passengers' mobile devices. Finally, among the options, we recommend wireless charging.
The engine range at launch on the market, scheduled for next autumn, will consist of a 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder and a 2.3 turbocharged unit. The manufacturer has announced that the details of a plug-in Lincoln Corsair hybrid will be released next summer, which will be on the market at a later time, probably during 2020.
The Californian factory has delivered nearly 370,000 vehicles and is aiming for 500,000 by 2020. The electric crossover will debut in the US in the spring.
